SASH is an EMERGENCY SERVICE open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

So if your pet needs emergency care, but your usual veterinarian is closed, you can always call.

We have a dedicated emergency team ready to help in what can be very stressful times.

The front door will be locked after hours for security reasons, so as you arrive, please press the doorbell and we will attend to you ASAP.

SASH also has specialist veterinarians in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, oncology, cardiology, neurology, dermatology and radiology.

Dr Melinda Cowan is a highly experienced exotic vet.

The Avian and Exotics department at SASH is one of the few veterinary practices in Sydney that caters for birds, rabbits, ferrets, all reptiles (excluding venomous snakes), all amphibians, fish and rodents.

The department is available Monday to Friday, it also works in tandem with the other areas of the hospital including radiology, emergency, surgery, and ophthalmology.
