"For the promotion of the hobby of Aviculture and the best care possible for your birds"
The society was formed on the 16th September 1983, with the purpose of providing a means of bringing together like minded people who enjoy the hobby of aviculture.
For all birds Australian and foreign the society will study and promote the conservation, the hygienic keeping, the scientific feeding and breeding of birds in the most natural condition possible.
The arranging of visiting and local aviculturalist speakers to share their knowledge and experience in the best care and treatments of birds in our care.
The sharing of avicultural information and the promotion of friendly relations with like societies.
Our meetings usually consist of:
The Normal General Meeting Agenda
Followed by a Guest speakers from either our society or other neighbouring clubs
Or annually - an Interstate guest speaker
And finish the evening with supper and general social time
We have a Library and Exchange steward available...
The society Magazine is published and sent out just prior to each meeting...
We have a number of Aviary visits throughout the year where we visit local aviaries and have a long weekend away.
Our Annual Bird sale is currently held at the KCC at Skye in the month of May, click on banner above for details...
We also have an annual social day/night out each year just prior to Christmas.
