The Animal Welfare League of South Australia strives to provide animal protection and help care for thousands of lost and abandoned companion animals. Over a 43 year history, the AWL has re-homed thousands of animals, and returned many ill-treated dogs and cats back to health. The AWL strives for a world full of responsible pet owners. Offering pet adoptions, dog training, injured animal rehabilitation, pet boarding, animal protection, cat retirement homes and more.

WL ADOPTION CENTRE @ WINGFIELD | OPEN TUESDAY - SUNDAY | 10AM - 3.00PM(Closed for Adoptions on Mondays)Below is a selection of animals available for adoption and some who have recently found homes.We have more animals waiting for their new home at our Wingfield shelter. The website is regularly updated, but it is recommended that you phone ahead to check on an animal’s availability to avoid disappointment.If you already have a dog at home, we recommend you bring your dog in to be introduced to the AWL dog you are about to adopt.   If you have children at home, please bring them with you also.This will ensure that the AWL dog meets and gets along with all members of your family before going home with you.

Pet Boarding:

We offer a safe and comfortable environment for your pet if you are unable to care for your animal for an extended amount of time.

The AWL ‘s Pet Cremation Service provides a professional and dignified service from people who understand.
